Conservation

conservation-map-thumb Barbour Pointe has been planned and developed with great attention paid to every aspect of Low Impact, Sustainable Development; the ultimate goal has been to design and construct a “built environment” that exists as a functioning element of the naturally existing site ecosystem rather than apart from it.

The overall community design of Barbour Pointe is one that is driven by the integrity of the land, strives to achieve minimal environmental impacts and makes a valiant effort toward sustainable development standards for Coastal Georgia.  The natural attributes of the land dictate the Master Plan rather than allowing a plan to drastically alter the landscape.

Barbour Pointe truly showcases responsible development through:

- Minimizing site & soil disturbance
- Preserving natural site conditions through a Conservation Easement
- Utilization of sustainable site development and construction practices
- Facilitating the use of alternative energy sources

Please take a moment to explore this section of the community web site and learn more about why the development of Barbour Pointe is so unique.
